My Beautiful Place

Far beyond the edge of the world is my beautiful place...

When I first arrived in my beautiful place, I could see birds flapping their wings, small kids eating a castle made out of jelly, people in their jet-packs and the most amazing thing I could see were jet boards. I walked inside this shop and they were selling free things. I grabbed a jet-board, an electronic pencil and this robot that will do anything I want it to do.

I was thirsty so I decided to drink some water from the fountain but instead chocolate came out and I was surprised by it. I said to my robot “Go buy me something to eat!” A minute later it came back with some popcorn and candy. It tasted 10 times better than the past.

Suddenly I heard this loud noise coming from behind. I turned around to see a round metal spaceship so I decided to go for a ride.

I was walking around with my robot servant when this sweet smell caught my nose and I knew it had to be perfume so I took one with me.

On my way exploring my beautiful place, I heard a loud roar coming from my left. I walked inside to see people and animals being noisy and kids making a lot of noise. The noise was so noisy that my ear was going to explode so I floated away on my jet-board saying to myself “Anything is possible in my beautiful place.”

I hope you can visit my beautiful place in the future where anything is possible some day!

Ireland information report.

Ireland information report.

Did you know that Ireland was the last country to permit droves and they are also the 3 biggest country.

Hmmm... in Ireland they have lots of food to eat like black pudding, sometimes potato pancakes, or the most popular food in Ireland soda bread.

Brain O’Discoll is the captain for the Ireland rugby team, Enda Kenny is the prime minister and Marry McAleese the president.

There is a lot of fun activities like hiking, Irish dancing, Wildlife park, golfing ,rugby and my favourite game to do dressing up as a leprechaun.

Are you aware that Vikings discovered Dublin and they called it Dubh Linn (which means black pool.)

Descriping Piri Weepu

Tevita Fau

It was windy as I looked out from the stadium to see Piri Weepu leading the haka proudly for his country at night time. When he is leading the haka, he looks furious and mad like someone has just stolen something from him. Did you know that Piri Weepu was born on September the 7th? That means he is 28 years old.He looked as solid as a brick. When the Haka finished they all did the Pukana while the Australians watched in a terrifying way.

Now it was time for the kick off to start the match. The Australians kicked the ball high in the air for the All Blacks to catch. Piri Weepu rumbles, stomps and jumps as high as he can to catch the ball.

When I saw the black t-shirt that has the number 9 on I knew it was him and I cheered him on. He was zooming though the defenders like a cheetah and pushing the fullback away like a mad rhino. He dived for a try as his friends were happy for him.The fans roared “YEAH!” The kicker sets up the ball for the kick at goal while the crowd were cheering him on. He takes a step back and runs up and kicks the ball in with his mighty leg and the ball goes straight though the goal post.

Piri Weepu is my favourite player because he is strong and bulky like a warrior and he has never had a yellow card or a red card.

Buddy Writing/Welcoming Tonga

When I opened the door I was crowded with people dressed in red and white.I said to myself “what are these people doing,is this a festival?” So i jogged closer to see and hear what was happening. As I got closer I can hear people shouting yelling and and singing with harmony.

I see Tongan flags waving in the hands of fans exhausted from waiting for the Tongan Rugby Team.

As the Ikale Tahi approaching the stage they were screaming and chanting with their red t-shirts, red flags and their bright red faces and proudness for there country.

Then the streets were full of Tongan flags waving in the air representing the Island and culture.

The people called them the greatest tag team ever and their names were Jin and Law.One day, a man came laughing and tapping on their door, yelling "There is going to be a tag team tournament coming up."They were happy to hear that because they knew there going to win.

We have them because we can get on it faster instead of typing it down.

You might see them in the streets in America, magazines, papers or in Japan because they created it for people to get on sites more faster.

Including capital letters and full stops.
My Writing goals for next term are to:
Make it more interesting by adding different types of punctuation like question marks, commas and exclamation marks.
I can achieve these goals by:
Think of a better way to make it interesting by rereading my work and finding places to add in more interesting punctuation.
My family can help me achieve these goals by:
Writing a piece of writing for them and see if they notice the different punctuation I used and see if they like it!

“All right now standing right behind me are people who have survived the tsunami and some people are crying for their lost by ones. People are horribly terrified because of the smashing waves and houses collapsing, such as power lines, cars and train stations and now it’s heading towards the capital city and I hope it doesn’t do any damage there.”

“Can you see those people hopping on their motorbikes and cars trying to drive away as fast as they can? And they made it just in time to a big building before the tsunami came. Back to you Tevita!”

“That’s all we’ve got today. Join us next with sports.”

layers of the earth

W.A.L.T-make a model of the layers of the earth out of play-dough

So that when we learn about natural disaster we can use our knowledge of the layers to understand them better and to help us in topic and science and learn about the earth around us!

The outside of the earth is called the crust made by a jigsaw of tectonic plates. The crust(or tectonic plates)contain the continents ,the seas and the earth. Did you know that the thickness of the crust is 15 to 75 km and it keeps the world together?

The second and the third part of the earth is called the upper mantle and the lower mantle. The upper mantle contains, iron, magnesium and sulphur. Did you know that the thickness of the upper mantle is 400 km?

The lower mantle is more dense than the upper mantle and did you know that the thickness of the lower mantle is 2300 km?

The fourth part of the earth is called the outer core. The outer core contains liquid, iron, nickel and sulphur and did you know that the thickness is 2300?

The inner core is solid and it contains iron, nickel, and sulphur. The temperature is 6650 degrees Celsius. Did you know the inner core is hottest the world?

My Day in the Big City

When I walked down from the plane, I could see people hurrying to their jobs, bus drivers waking up to pick up people and open stores just getting ready to sell their things. When I walked past burger king, I could smell the sweet smell of a double cheese burger. I walked in and ate a burger. The burger was so sweet that I walked back in to get another one. It wasn’t that long before I had finished eating. I walked back out and could smell the sweet smell of perfume every where. I was starting to like this city more than my other city.

I suddenly walked over to the pizza shop (where I work) to start my day. When I took one step inside could see so many people inside already waiting for their pizza. Suddenly the boss frightened me with a big growl saying, “Get back to work!” While I was working, I could feel my body saying “Work faster, work faster.” When I finished working, I tidied up the place and ran outside to catch a taxi so I could get to the airport faster.

I made it there just in time for the plane. As got back I told my family and they were happy for me. It was fun in there.
